A new scanning electron microscope from ZEISS has been installed in our physical chemistry instructional labs. Michael has been leading establishing the partnership with ZEISS over the last few years that led to this opportunity to enhance instruction and research for undergraduates and graduate students at Berkeley. Since the installation of the instrument last Fall, Nadia has been working towards implementing the instrument in instruction and successfully used it for her own research.
